Individual Therapy

We all need to be valued and understood. Some clients have specific goals — like improving self esteem or overcoming painful pasts — while others want to change self-defeating habits or behaviors. Many young adults want to juggle independence and relationships and figure out some pretty big questions regarding sexuality, marriage, monogamy, and having children. Other adults want to face head-on the challenges (and benefits) of the next chapters of life, including wisdom, aging, and freedom from some of life’s traditional expectations. Growth and healing are outcomes I believe in.

Couples Therapy

Good relationships don’t come easy. Even the closest couple can find themselves having the same fight over and over, or wondering where their passion has gone. Affairs, addiction, financial struggles, difficult in-laws or children, lack of sexual desire, and lack of feeling like a priority can drive a wedge in any relationship. I am trained in EFT, Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples, which is the most researched and effective framework for working with couples.

Family and Siblings Therapy

Families are complicated, but they don’t have to be difficult. I work with entire families or subsets of families — parents/children, and siblings — to provide specific ways to make yours run smoother. I have found that a simple repair during a session can mend years of family grudges or hostilities and set the ground for meaningful relationships in this primary group.

Being a therapist is my passion and profession.

I know from sitting on the couch myself how much it means to be heard and supported, and what a difference it can make when life gets hard and confusing.
